I have to admit that this should have been Tuesday’s post, but I forgot to take the pictures on Monday night, and the pictures are definitely necessary for this post! When I bought the charms for the bracelets I’m making as gifts, I also got a mixed pack of Tibetan silver charms and findings. So when I needed a stitch marker for my Shawl Collared Cowl, I decided it was a good time to take some of the charms and use them to make myself some. I wrapped the wire around my 10 mm crochet hook, to get a nice big loop and I can use them for most projects.
The first one I made, I cut the ends so they lined up nicely, but the yarn occasionally caught on it so I started again. This time I overlaped the wire by about 20%, so they act a little more like a split ring for a key ring, and they work wonderfully.
I’m really happy with the range of shapes and sizes I have and there’s plenty for any project. I also found this little pot which is perfect for storing them all, and will be perfect for keeping them safe in my project bag - if it ever gets finshed!
